Berrett Hill is producing a display layout that represents the original Eagles Mere narrow gauge railroad. The three foot gauge railroad brought visitors and supplies up the mountain from 1892 until 1926. Only seven miles long, it took one hour to take the trip, rising over a thousand feet up the mountain. Maximum speed behind the geared “Climax” brand locomotive was ten miles an hour.

This full model is planned to be completed in September 2011.
